So much to be grateful for this year!
The love & support of my parents and my friends, in particular Colin & Carol!
The companionship of my kitties who lay on my lap despite my coughing and restlessness!
My garden!
Lovely music!
Good food!
The enorm…

Grumpy after credit card cloned and now frozen until new ones arrive - with Xmas post might be 10 days! Grrr ...
Hi, I'm new to this particular group. Although I am a bit behind in keeping up with it due to work commitments (and lack of organisation!) I, too, have a blog. It is not always health-related, but I have used it for that purpose from time to time.
I'm very lucky in that I love scented candles and most of the time my asthma is not affected by them. The exception being many that have a strong cinnamon or very floral scent.
I love Yankee Candles but understand that paraffin wax candles (which Ya…

Had my 6-monthly asthma review - signed off for 9 months - yay!
I'm hoping that everyone is doing ok? The cold & bitter windy weather has been a bit of a challenge but I've upped my medication (as permitted by my doc) and things seemed to have levelled out greatly. Have just come back from my six-monthly asthma…

Hope everyone has a great week - I'm lucky enough to be off to Berlin, Germany for three days, and then to a friend's wedding!
In the UK doctors and pharmacists often suggest peppermint capsules (Colpermin is the brand name here) for the relief of IBS. Several members of the family suffer from this (I do when travelling or eating too much bread!) and we all find that the ca…
Hope you all have a lovely time this weekend - for my Thanksgiving plans see my discussion - "Surely Babes are reason to be Thankful?"
I think I should have used a less cryptic title if I wanted you all to read it! Sorry 'bout that Babes!
Hey Nicola! It's not getting much press here - it's more like a sidebar story.
And I agree that just because he is a celebrity - it doesn't mean that the public is privy to his personal medical history. I don't he should be required to be an advoca…
November 24
Probably going quiet for a day or two now - a party to prepare and enjoy, then a day or two to sleep it off!
Sounds yummy (esp the sweet potatoes) and so sweet. It's just nice to have a special dinner with family.
Happy Thanksgiving to all Chronic Babes and the families and friends. I hope everyone has a wonderful, fun, flare-free day.
I am also thankful…
With US Thanksgiving approaching I know that some of you will be on the road to family, or welcoming them to your own homes, so am taking the time tonight to leave a message. Although we don't officially celebrate this in the UK my family have for y…
I'm a freelance writer by trade and a recently-diagnosed, but long-'afflicted', asthmatic. I'm right on the upper edge of 'young' but still find it hard some days that I can't just do precisely what I want just because of a medical condition. But I'm very lucky - I don't suffer too badly very often.
I have allergies, occasional migraines which are rarely too debilitating, and recurring tendonitis in a finger, a thumb and one wrist - currently (touch a bit lump of wood) under control.
I have a huge range of interests like theatre, film, tv etc, to watching football or soccer outside of UK:) and growing fruit and veg and cooking, baking and hanging out with friends in the countryside.
I'm single but am neither a lonely spinster or an avowed bachelorette - if I find the fella I want to be with forever, then I do, if not, so be it!
I get hacked off by people who are judgmental - whether they judge by appearance, intellect, nationality, orientation, religious belief (or not), medical condition or whatever.
Get over it, I say! Life's too short and fraught with strife to go round inventing reasons to dislike other people!
